  Subhepatic appendicitis and omentit...
#1

A child of school age with suspected appendicitis came to the emergency department of the Children's City Clinical Hospital and was urgently sent to an ultrasound scan. At US there is a subhepatic “hot dog” sign (sausages in the test), the appendix in the role of a “sausage”, surrounded by an inflamed omentum, in the role of a “test” - a protective reaction of the body that prevents peritonitis from developing for a while.
