A patient of retirement age with complaints of recurrent pain in the shin.

Visually, both lower extremities have an enhanced venous pattern in the area of the inner surface of the shin, are slightly edematous, and the surface tuberosity is visible on one leg.

On ultrasound, varicose veins on the inner surface of the shin of both extremities are visualized.
