  Abdominal cryptorchidism
#1

An infant with an abdominal form of cryptorchidism, both testicles are located in the abdomen.

On previous ultrasounds from other doctors: 1) one of the testicles in the inguinal canal, the other at the entrance to the inguinal canal, testicular hypoplasia; 2) one of the testicles is at the entrance to the inguinal canal, the second is not visualized. A follow-up ultrasound was prescribed.

On the current ultrasound: in the proximal third of one of the inguinal canals (at the entrance to the inguinal canal) there is a hypoechoic omentum-type structure, judging by the dimensions indicated in previous ultrasound reports, taken for a testicle.

In fact, both testicles are located in the abdomen, of normal size - one of the testicles is visualized in the pelvis, posterior to the bladder; the second is adjacent to the anterior abdominal wall, migrates between the iliac region and the middle third of the lateral canal, and can even be felt by palpation as a dense formation on the side of the navel.
