  Enlargement of the appendix
#1

Child 10 years-old came to public clinic for the follow-up US after medical treatment, 2 weeks ago this child was complaining of abdominal pain, an ultrasound showed an enlargement of the vermiform appendix to 7 mm (suspected mucocele), mesadenitis, thickening of the cecum wall (typhlitis).

At the current US there is a lower level mesadenitis, cecum unremarkable, appendix diameter to 8mm, appendix compressed by probe with no pain.
