  Diffuse heterogeneous liver
#1

The infant in the ED of children city hospital, underwent a series of surgery interventions, gastroschisis was diagnosed in utero, then there was stenosis of the ileum, at present time intestinal obstruction was suspected by X-ray.

On the ultrasound, the first thing that caught my eye was the liver, a hyperechoic fine-grained structure (a colleague suggested pneumobilia), in the ileal region there was an area with collapsed intestinal loops, higher up in the right lateral canal there were dilated intestinal loops, and in other parts there was pronounced flatulence.

Dif.diagnosis: pneumobilia/ gas in the portal vein, etc.
