#1

A 6-year-old child complains of a mass in the lateral part of the neck, which hurts and prevents him from turning his head.

Ultrasound visualizes an increase in the echogenicity of the surrounding lymph nodes soft tissue with increased blood flow with the formation of a soft tissue infiltrate around a group of lymph nodes with a single lymph node with an unclear contour and an an-/hypoechoic inclusion inside (abscess?).
