  Penetrating injury of the femur
#1

Schoolkid about 5 years ago had a penetrating wound of the thigh with a woodstick, followed by a series of surgery operations, including the removal of wood pieces, at this moment sent to an ultrasound with suspicion of the remnants of wood piece. At ultrasound there is a wound channel ending blindly at a depth of about 4 cm. The contents are predominantly anechoic with echogenic linear inclusions (wood pieces?).
