  Submandibular infiltrate (abscess)
#1

The school age child was brought to the Children's City Clinical Hospital by the ambulance in the direction of the pediatrician with the dense mass of the submandibular region, it is known that he had a tonsillitis several times earlier. At palpation posterior to the angle of the lower jaw, there is a lesion of a stony density. On ultrasound, there is a lesion of a heterogeneous structure surrounded by a layer of thickened tissue (infiltration / abscess, presumably destruction of the lymph node / destructive lymphadenitis).
