    An infant came to the emergency surgical department of the Children's City Clinical Hospital with complaints of a pimple in the gluteal region, after examination of the surgeon, infant was urgently sent for an ultrasound scan with a clinical diagnosis of a furuncle.

    On ultrasound, there is an area of increased echogenicity of the subcutaneous adipose tissue (edema), inside this area there is an anechoic lesion with vertical orientation, echogenic turbid contents(pus), extending from the surface of the skin into the subcutaneous adipose tissue.
