  Acute phlegmonous appendicitis
#1

A child of 9 years with complaints of pain in the abdomen on the eve, at the moment of ultrasound the abdomen does not hurt. It is directed by a pediatrician with suspicion of a.appendicitis.

In the right iliac region, a tubular structure 8 mm in diameter is visualized, with a wall thickened to 3 mm, rigid, surrounded by echogenic tissues, sometimes without blood flow at CFM (a. phlegmonous appendicitis / periapendicular infiltrate?)

In the part of the appendix with a hyperechogenic rim, in contrast to a hypoechoic one, a blood flow was visualized at the CFM (unfortunately, the video loop wasn' t saved)

  Ecografía abdominal pediá...
#2
