    A school-age patient at the Children's City Clinical Hospital, a follow-up ultrasound of the kidneys after treatment of megaureters was prescribed.

    On ultrasound the kidney with diffusely increased echogenicity and absence of corticomedullary differentiation (differential diagnosis: nephritis, cystic dysplasia, etc.), the prognosis in such cases is usually unfavorable - chronic renal failure.
