  Acute Appendicitis
#1

An 8-year-old child in the public clinic was referred for an emergency abdominal ultrasound with complaints of abdominal pain.

At ultrasound in the right iliac region with a continuation into the small pelvis, a tubular structure up to 6.4 mm in diameter was visualized, it does not compress (rigid) during compression, the child notes severe pain during compression by the probe in the indicated localization (differential diagnosis: acute appendicitis, etc.)
