  Infant isolated thelarche
#1

A female infant in a public clinic was referred by a pediatrician for an ultrasound of the mammary glands to exclude lesion in the projection of the one of the mammary glands.

On ultrasound in the projection of the retroareolar region of one of the mammary glands, a small area of glandular tissue is visualized (thelarche - unilateral / isolated premature development of the mammary gland).
