Chylothorax in a newborn

    A newborn with a chylothorax(lymphatic fluid in pleural cavity)in the ICU of the Children's City Hospital with chylothorax, a follow-up ultrasound of the pleural spaces for free fluid was prescribed.

    On ultrasound, a large amount of free fluid (hydrothorax) is visualized in the pleural space.
