    A 4-year-old child was admitted to the emergency department of the Children's City Clinical Hospital by ambulance with abdominal pain, with suspicion of acute appendicitis child was urgently sent for an ultrasound.

    On ultrasound in the right iliac region, an enlarged appendix surrounded by a hyperechoic omentum is visualized, an increase in blood flow is mapped at CFM in this area (periappendicular infiltrate).
