  Pneumatosis intestinalis/ Necrotizi...
#1

An infant in the ICU of the Children's City Clinical Hospital with enterocolitis, blood was found in the stool, an ultrasound of the intestine was prescribed.

On ultrasound in all parts of the abdomen, intestinal loops are visualized without peristalsis, the intestinal wall is mostly visualized as hyperechoic, in the right ileal region, areas of the intestinal wall with an artifact of reverberation from the wall are determined (differential diagnosis: pneumatosis of the intestinal wall/ pneumatosis intestinalis/ gas in the intestinal wall, etc.).
