#1

A 2-year-old child in the public clinic was referred for an emergency ultrasound of soft tissues due to an increase of the left submandibular region with suspected mumps parotitis.

On ultrasound, asymmetry of the parotid glands is visualized, the left gland is enlarged, with increase of blood flow at CFM, with lymph nodes inside (differential diagnosis: parotitis, etc.), an increase in lymph nodes in the lateral areas of the neck on both sides was also visualized (differential diagnosis: lymphadenitis, etc.)
