  Biceps rupture
#1

Teenager, athlete, came with suspected shoulder fracture, visually one of the upper extremity swelling with cyanotic spot on the front surface of the upper third of shoulder, at the level of the visible margin between the biceps and deltoid muscle.

By the words of the patient he performed a pull-up exercise on the bar, heard the crunch of shoulder and felt a sharp pain, soon shoulder become swollen.

Ultrasound in collaboration with traumatologist: in the upper third of the shoulder visualized biceps muscle portion with loss of structure, irregular contour passing in heterogeneous mass of increased echogenicity, presumably biceps rupture and hematoma (file 1) to compare symmetrical region of intact shoulder (file 2), and video, of course.
