A 12-year-old child is preparing for hospitalization in one of the hospitals due to a stone in the right kidney that was previously detected on ultrasound in the public clinic, a follow-up ultrasound was scheduled before hospitalization.

On ultrasound, the entire sinus of the right kidney is filled with hyperechoic contents with an acoustic shadow and twinkling artifacts on the CFM (differential diagnosis: staghorn stone, multiple nephrolithiasis, emphysematous pyelonephritis, nephrocalcinosis, spongy kidney, etc.)
