  Ovarian apoplexy
#1

A child 14 years old with suspected appendicitis.

At US: In hypogastrium about 50 ml of free fluid. The bladder is almost empty. Above the uterus enlarged right ovary, size of 6x4cm, at CFM with the impoverishment of the blood flow (torsion of the right ovary? Etc.?), the left ovary is not visualized.

Intraoperative: apoplexy (rupture) of the right ovary, the fluid - fresh blood clot.
